The idea for the Rather Good Art Company was formed in the early days of 2021 when Henry Rothwell, our collections curator and keen Tweeter of art, was struck by a blinding flash of inspiration: ‘What if people could keep these Tweets? What if there was a way to create a physical version, a hard-copy as it were, that people could keep in their homes or even send to their friends and relatives?’

Once the existence of greetings cards and other printed materials had been calmly explained to him, he decided he should probably do that instead and, with guidance from friends & family, The Rather Good Art Company came to fruition.
