A rainy Welsh afternoon, a lone figure treads a muddy path leading past St. Mary’s Church, Hay-on-Wye. Though depicting rainclouds, mud, and dark foliage, ‘Wet Afternoon’ is a far from gloomy image, with the figure seemingly unaffected. I would be willing to bet that if we could turn the sound up, we’d hear whistling. . .
