Eric Ravilious ‘Newhaven Harbour’
This colour lithograph depicts Newhaven Harbour, a favourite spot of the artist, which he painted frequently, in peacetime and during the hostilities of World War Two. He would have known it from his youth, being brought up just along the coast at Eastbourne, but was also a frequent visitor as an adult when staying with Peggy Angus, whose house, ‘Furlongs‘ lay upstream of the river Ouse, which reaches the coast here.
Printed on 300gsm Invercoate card stock using high quality inks to retain the colours of the original image. The card dimensions are 140mm by 140mm.
