‘In the Month of July’, Paul Joseph Constantin Gabriël, oil on canvas, around 1889.

A rather beautiful rendition of a windmill on a polder (reclaimed land) in the Netherlands. Gabriël, the artist, was keen to depict the colours of a summer day, an apparently unusual trait in his fellow Hague School painters. The original can be seen in the magnificent Rijks Museum.

Dimensions: 297 x 420 mm or 11.7 x 16.5 inches.

Printed on 350gsm Invercote card stock using high quality inks to retain the colours of the original image.
