Large Owl on a Screen, by Jan Mankes, is a truly intriguing depiction of a barn owl perched comfortably on the top of a modesty screen. This one raises more questions than answers – a pet perhaps? Or entered by an open bedroom window? And finally we have Wáldinneres (Forest Interior), by Hans Emmenegger, an image that some find a little uncomfortable.
