The Paul Nash Postcard Collection: Sketches.
Introducing the second of our Paul Nash postcards collections, Sketches.
Featuring Paul Nash’s sketches of scenes of the English countryside in the 30s and 40s, including a rendering of his much loved Wittenham Clumps, a depiction of Silbury Hill featuring pencil notes for future renditions, a scene of the cornfields at Avebury with the crops gathered in stooks and drying under the sun of a 1930s summer. Then we have Blue Pool, another of Wittenham, reminiscent of one of his most famous paintings, Wood on the Downs, which is also available from Rather Good Art, and finally an intriguing sketch of the coast at Worth Matravers.
