Eric Ravilious Greetings Cards: Westbury Horse, watercolour, 1939.
As with Train Landscape, Westbury Horse was painted during 1939 and was intended to feature in his sadly unfinished Puffin Book of HIll Figures. It depicts the White Horse below Bratton Hillfort (the ramparts of the hillfort are clearly visible), with chalk wash fanning out from its hooves. This card is also available as part of the Ravilious Train Set, which also features Train Landscape and Train Going over a Bridge at Night.
Blank inside, so suitable for birthdays, anniversaries, and all occasions.
Dimensions: 178mm by 127mm (landscape).
Printed on 300gsm FSC approved Invercote card stock using high quality inks to retain the colours of the original image. Each card is supplied with a white laid envelope, so you can share them with friends and family.
